The ideal journey to fully experience the reality of the Estate with an exclusive tasting at the wine bar overlooking the vineyards and surrounding countryside. Dedicated to all enthusiasts who wish to deepen their knowledge of Capezzana wines and the traditional production of Vin Santo di Carmignano DOC through a unique and emotional experience; a sensory journey to discover the history of the Estate and the Contini Bonacossi family.

Host information
Vines have been cultivated in Carmignano since pre-Roman era as the wine jars and tasting cups found in Etruscan tombs testify. In 1475, during the early Renaissance, Monna Nera Bonaccorsi built the first Nobleman's House along with with the wine-making buildings. Other generations and families were to follow in the ownership of the property: the Cantucci, the Marchesi Bourbon del Monte, Franchetti and Rothschild and finally the Contini Bonacossi, our family, in 1920.

Abbiamo visitato questa splendida realtà vitivinicola ed olivicola durante un soggiorno nel centro di Siena. L'accoglienza è stata immediatamente calorosa e l'atmosfera familiare ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. Breve, ma esaustivo tour nelle cantine per poi passare alla degustazione. Il proprietario Sandro ha saputo con professionalità e simpatia rispondere a tutti i nostri quesiti. I protagonisti della degustazione sono stati i diversi chianti prodotti in azienda. Veramente speciali il chianti classico riserva ed il gran selezione. Il loro profumo ed aromi sono davvero qualcosa di unico. La degustazione è stata inoltre accompagnata da un tagliere veramente gustoso con salumi e formaggi tipici. Il tutto viene impreziosito dal fatto che la degustazione viene effettuata di fronte ad un bellissimo panorama di vigneti che al tramonto rendono il tutto indimenticabile.
