PINOT NERO TRENTINO DOC 0,75 LT

Pinot Nero Trentino DOC is a refined and complex red wine, a true expression of the vineyards situated at altitudes of between 500 and 600 metres in the Val di Cembra. Regarded as one of the most complex and labour-intensive varieties, both in the vineyard and in the winery, it finds an ideal parallel in the laying of porphyry cubes depicted on the label: a painstaking craft that characterises our region and the history of our family, which has been dedicated to porphyry masonry for decades.

Vinification involves red fermentation in contact with the skins in stainless steel tanks, enhanced by frequent punching down, followed by 12 months’ ageing in French oak barriques and subsequent bottle ageing. In the glass, it displays a brilliant ruby-red colour; on the nose, it offers an intense and pleasant aroma of red berries, with notes of black cherry and raspberry standing out. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh and savoury, with soft tannins and a spicy, long and deep finish.

Exquisite when paired with red and white meats, roasts, fillets, lamb and game birds. Serve at 16–18 °C.

Ours has always been a harsh and rugged land, where the vineyard meets the porphyry, the red gold of the valley, which for generations has been a source of work and sustenance. Among extreme slopes and over 700 kilometers of dry stone walls made of porphyry stone, descending to the Avisio stream with drops of up to 600 meters, our project arises. It is in this perfect meeting between the craftsmanship of the stone setter and the art of viticulture that the soul, pride, and strength of Tenuta Gottardi reside.
