Tradition Tour – approximately 2 hours
An authentic food and wine experience immersed in the Mantuan wine tradition. The tour begins with a walk through the vineyards and an encounter with the land and the grapes cultivated by the winery, followed by a guided tour of the winery where you will discover how wine is produced and bottled.
The visit continues with a tasting of 3 glasses of Giubertoni wines, accompanied by a basket of typical Mantuan products (such as salami, Grana Padano DOP, ciccioli, pickled vegetables, and local bread or focaccia), to savor local flavors paired with the wines.
It is an ideal experience for those who wish to combine the discovery of family history, viticulture, and the wines of a historic winery with the authentic flavors of the region.
Stepping through the gates of Cantine Giubertoni, you enter a world of slow time, where the rhythm of the vineyards still follows the cycle of nature. Here, history is palpable in the air: each row is a thread connecting the past to the present, each cluster tells the story of the dedication that the Giubertoni family has put into their work for over a century. The winery is located in the Mantuan countryside, bathed in light that dances among the vineyards and caresses the waters of the nearby Po River.
Walking among the rows means feeling the earth beneath your feet and letting the damp scent of freshly cut grass mingle with that of ripe grapes. Here, it is not just production: it is a ritual, it is the hands picking grapes by hand, the care with which each crate is brought to the winery and pressed, the respect for every small trace of history present in the old tools and presses that still tell of past generations.
Entering the recently inaugurated tasting room, you settle into a space that invites dialogue and contemplation. It is here that wine takes shape in your experience: three, four glasses of Lambrusco Mantovano and other selected house labels become a sensory journey. Each sip is a frame of authentic flavors – cherry, red fruits, vibrant freshness – embraced by a living and generous land.
Tasting a Giubertoni wine, accompanied by Mantuan cured meats, Grana Padano DOP, and local focaccia, is like listening to an ancient story told in the first person: a succession of vineyards in the golden light of sunset, family stories, hands intertwined with work and the land.
Here, wine production is not just a trade: it is an emotional heritage that is felt in the silence of the vineyard, savored in the wines, and lived in moments of meeting, celebration, and discovery. Cantine Giubertoni does not simply produce bottles: it offers experiences that remain etched in memory, like a glass at sunset that is never forgotten.
