The perfect experience for those who want to know every detail, not only of our history and that of the territory, but also of the historic Boca DOC denomination while strolling on the typical red rocks inherited from the Valsesia Supervolcano. After visiting the vineyard and the cellar, you will be guided in a tasting of our organic wines - which draw their special and unique character from the volcanic rocks - paired with amuse-bouche by Chef Francesco Morano of the Pinocchio restaurant in Borgomanero, along with a selection of typical local products. Only in this tasting are two vintages of Boca DOC Vigna Cristiana included, one of which is historic.

What's included

  • Vineyard walk
  • Cellar visit
  • Tasting of three wines from our organic production and two vintages of Boca DOC Vigna Cristiana (one of which is historic)
  • Flavor sparks with amuse-bouche by Chef Francesco Morano of the Pinocchio Restaurant in Borgomanero and typical local products (vegetarian option available and selectable as an extra)

Host information

Podere ai Valloni was the first company to be registered as a producer of Boca DOC. The historic Ca' Finazzi, in fact, began producing Boca in the 18th century.
The Boca DOC was born in 1969 but, unfortunately, after a few years the vineyards disappeared from most of the hills of the area.
In 1980 Guido and Cristiana Sertorio acquired the winery and started producing Boca DOC again. Luigi Veronelli was the first to talk about our wine in 1987, exalting its qualities in his magazine EV.

From the beginning, Podere ai Valloni has not only been a wine company, but a 'vineyard garden' cultivated with the utmost respect for the surrounding environment. We have been practicing organic farming since 2011 and in 2014 we obtained certification from the ICEA institute.
Today, Anna and her husband Andrea carry on the dream of the founders, together with the new generation that is slowly growing: to cultivate a beautiful vineyard and produce excellent wines.

The wines are produced exclusively with the grapes of our own production, thus allowing complete traceability. The yield per hectare is only 40q, although in the area it is allowed to reach 90q. This is because we make an accurate selection in every step of the production cycle, giving priority to quality rather than quantity.

The Volcanic Wines of Boca
Siamo stati accolti con sorriso e gentilezza, abbiamo fatto una piacevole passeggiata tra i filari e poi visitato la cantina con spiegazioni passo a passo. Per finire abbiamo degustato gli ottimi vini prodotti dall’azienda. Esperienza consigliata vivamente!
