In Upper Piedmont there are 3 main areas: the Ossola Valleys, the Novara Hills and the Sesia Coast.

In the Novara Hills, or the area that lies on the orographic left of the Sesia river, there are also other jewels of Altopiemontese viticulture such as Boca DOC, Fara DOC, Ghemme DOCG and Sizzano DOC.

The same thing applies to the right bank of the Sesia river, where the Coste della Sesia lie, within which the Bramaterra DOC, the Gattinara DOCG and the Lessona DOC are distinguished.
