Castello di Bossi
Product information
The visual examination shows a beautiful intense ruby red colour, of good clarity. The aromas of fresh, almost squeezed fruit emerge clearly on the nose, with cherry and strawberry standing out more precisely, with small spicy nuances of fresh pepper and violet to ennoble the aroma. The taste test shows a solid body without being burdened, thanks to dense but not aggressive tannins, a sustained but balanced acidity and an alcohol that effectively carries out its containment action. The finish is good, juicy and clean

Bacci Wines
Bacci Wines collects the best of Tuscan excellence with the 3 main Tuscan DOCG (Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Morellino di Scansano) through a series of companies located in strategic lands within Tuscany. Castello di Bossi, Tenuta di Renieri, Barbaione, Renieri and Terre di Talamo. The 5 estates cover over 900 hectares of land and express 22 wine labels including red, white, rosé, sweet and sparkling wines.
Castello di Bossi is located in the centre of the farm, in the southern part of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
The first tower was built around 1099, later in 1450 it became a defensive quadrilateral tower.
It extends over 500 hectares of land, 120 of which are cultivated with vineyards. The average altitude of the vineyards is about 350 m above sea level and their exposure rotates from south-east to west.
The three main grapes are Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Sangiovese di Castelnuovo Berardenga, unlike the other areas of Chianti Classico, has a higher phenolic and tannic ripening thanks to the mild climate. Cabernet and Merlot were among the first planted in Chianti Classico about 40 years ago.
The predominant soils are tuff, yellow clay, silty sands and broken stone.
