Syrah Siari’
Alagna Vini | Baglio Baiata
Product information
The Syrah is an international grape variety that has found fertile ground in Sicily, adapting perfectly to the island’s hot, dry climate.
Syrah, also known as Shiraz in other parts of the world, originates from the Rhône Valley in France. This grape variety is prized for its ability to produce wines of great structure and complexity, with spicy and fruity notes.
This wine has an intense ruby-red colour.
On the nose, one can detect aromas of wild berries, plums and spicy notes such as black pepper, as well as hints of tobacco and chocolate.
On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, with soft, well-integrated tannins. Its good acidity and tannic structure give it excellent ageing potential. The finish is long and persistent, with aftertastes of spices and ripe fruit.
Syrah is vinified using traditional methods combined with modern techniques to bring out the varietal characteristics of the grape. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
This single-varietal wine is versatile and pairs well with red meats, game, stews and mature cheeses. Its structure and complex aromas make it ideal for accompanying rich, flavourful dishes.
Syrah is an excellent example of how an international grape variety can express itself at its best in a unique terroir such as Sicily’s, producing a wine of great character and personality.
It is recommended to store it in a cool place
