Product information
The Grillo is a wine made from white grapes of the Grillo variety. Grillo is a native Sicilian grape variety, known for its ability to produce high-quality wines with distinctive aromatic characteristics. Grillo is a white grape variety grown predominantly in Sicily. It is known for its resistance to high temperatures and drought, characteristics typical of the Sicilian climate.
Wines produced from Grillo grapes tend to have a straw-yellow colour with greenish hues. On the nose, they offer aromatic notes of citrus, exotic fruit and white flowers, with a slight herbaceous undertone. On the palate, they are generally fresh, with good acidity and a medium body, making them pleasant and versatile.
Grillo is a single-varietal white table wine. Given its versatility, it pairs perfectly with fish dishes, seafood, fresh cheeses and salads. Its freshness and aromatic notes also make it a good aperitif.
Our winery follows traditional production methods, combined with modern techniques to ensure the quality of our wines. The grapes are usually harvested by hand, and the winemaking process involves carefully ageing them for three months in steel vats before sale, to preserve the natural aromas and flavours of the Grillo grape variety.
This wine is a fine representation of Sicilian winemaking tradition, offering a tasting experience that reflects the region’s terroir and climate.
