After years of trials and experience to find a blend with particular results, we believe we have obtained the product we expected.
Some old vines, which are precocious, are left to sunnature for about 20 days and the grapes are harvested and fermented together with Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and a few other old native Veronese vines.
The result is a red wine with an intense colour; its bouquet is very pleasant and complex; it is reminiscent of cooked ripe fruit where Amarena cherries and raspberries prevail, spices (pepper and ginger in particular) and light roasted cocoa and coffee.
Hints of fruit jam and spices prevail in the mouth; its tannicity is perfectly balanced by its natural roundness; it is very harmonious and well structured.

Smell

The slight withering gives extraordinary scents of cooked raspberries and sour cherries, cocoa and liquorice, notes that are also found in the mouth with a long, persistent, very pleasant flavour.

Pairing

Robust roasts, meat and game of feather and fur in any form, suggested for aged cheeses; exalts itself in large crystal glasses.

Taste

Despite the high alcohol content, this wine can be drunk with ease, giving pleasant sensations of velvety roundness and maturity.

Host information

For generations, the Bonazzi family has been handing down the peasant work of grape growing and winemaking. The Fratelli Bonazzi winery is a family-run business, producing excellent classic vintage wines. The winery and vineyards are located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area, in foothill plots supported by the characteristic dry-wall terraces (marogne).

The winery, in addition to being linked to the ancient winemaking traditions handed down through the ages, is nevertheless always very attentive to technological innovations.
This is why Mario, Luciano and Angelo are constantly seeking to make changes in the winery and vineyards that will allow for qualitative improvements in the great gift that nature has given us: wine.
