Sangiovese, Colorino and Cabernet Sauvignon lay on a lean, Galestro and limestone soil, organically farmed.
Grapes are picked manually at mid-September and fermented in stainless-steel vats with temperature control. The whole wine making process, as well as the selection of the grapes in the vineyard is done with extreme care, in order to extract all the fruity aromas and only the softest tannins from the fruit.
This wine ages in stainless-steel vats and barriques (20% of the batch), then in the bottle for at least 6 months.

Bright red, fine and deep shade, with ruby red hints. Red fruit and very light spices.
Elegant and well-balanced front with strong texture, harmonious and persistent finish.
Accompanies any dish which has a strong taste but not excessive. Ideal for meat-based pasta dishes, charcuterie and grilled meat.

A wine meant to give “Voice to the earth” (Voce alla Terra) of Tuscany and of Chianti, respecting the elegance of clay and Galestro soils as well as the typical varietal characteristics. A sophisticated wine, with a great drinkability.

Drink within 8 years from harvest, at 18°C.

Since 1935 the Galardi brothers have dedicated themselves to the production of oil and wine on the hills of Fiesole, a few kilometers from Florence, as well as to the construction of mechanical equipment for the production of cereals, wine and oil.

The vineyards and olive groves extend over 17 ha, at 150 m asl. On the lean, marly and calcareous soils the productions are limited in quantity, but of important quality.

Exposure to the sun determines a particularly favorable microclimate and the absence of humidity stagnation minimizes parasitic attacks, favoring a low environmental impact agronomic management, certified organic since 1999, alongside the use of renewable energy sources and the study of packaging materials.
Even today Poggiopiano maintains its family management in agricultural production, as well as in the reception in the Cellar and in the Farmhouse.
