Today I take you to meet a white wine that is a local star: Custoza! Forget 'challenging' wines. Custoza is freshness made wine! Its trump cards? It is super-drinking (it goes down a treat!), harmonious and zero banal. It is the perfect friend for an aperitif or an easy dinner. But what's the trick? Its secret is the team of grapes! Not a loner, Custoza is a blend studied to perfection. We put together Garganega, Trebbiano, Cortese and Chardonnay: when these come together, they create a complex aromatic bouquet. In the glass? It greets us with a beautiful straw yellow. The nose is a feast of fruit and flowers — smell that! — with that hint of herbs that never hurts. When you drink it, it is soft, savoury (i.e. it makes you thirsty immediately, watch out!) and that slightly bitter finish makes it clean and super refreshing. In short, it's famous because it's fresh and immediately makes you happy, but watch out: if you choose the right bottles, Custoza can age very well! A true all-round champion!
