Franciacorta D.o.c.g. Millesimato Pas Dosé is a prestigious sparkling wine from the Vezzoli Ugo Winery, known for its excellence since the first vintage in 2012.
This Franciacorta received the ROSA D'ORO award from the AIS (Italian Sommeliers' Association) and has also generated great enthusiasm in subsequent vintages, including 2015.
On the nose, it presents very pleasant notes of yeast, apple and citrus fruits, enriched by a delicate sweet balsamic note during the second oxygenation.
On the palate, the taste is dry, clean and fresh, with hints of apple and pleasant notes of dried fruit.
The finish is decidedly long and persistent.
Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, this Franciacorta is ideal for aperitifs and pairs perfectly with hors d'oeuvres, fish dishes, savoury meats, cold cuts and mature cheeses.

Abbiamo visitato la cantina Ugo Vezzoli in occasione del mio compleanno, un venerdì pomeriggio. Come unici visitatori siamo stati accompagnati dal titolare, una persona veramente cortese ed estremamente competente, che ci ha spiegato molti dettagli della lavorazione del vino, dalla vite al calice, che prima ignoravamo. La degustazione di vini è stata abbondante e accompagnata da una piacevole conversazione oltre che da graditi assaggi di formaggi locali e diversi grissini/taralli. Abbiamo anche approfittato della possibilità di acquistare vini a prezzi adeguati. Esperienza assolutamente consigliata!

In occasione del festival ho scoperto questa azienda vinicola, dove la tradizione e la storia di famiglia attraverso i secoli si manifestano in vini superlativi.
