Pairings
It will make your meals special with elaborate and spicy dishes, red meats, game, mature and spicy cheeses. Outside the meal, for connoisseurs, as a "meditation" wine.

In the cellar
After careful selection, the bunches of grapes harvested are subjected to soft pressing from which the must-flower is obtained. This is followed by a long maceration of the skins in the must, followed by cold static decantation to eliminate the solid parts in suspension. Through selected yeasts, fermentation begins at a controlled temperature. The wine is then racked and placed to age in oak barrels for at least 3 years, until it reaches optimal maturity. The aging for many years in bottle continues to improve this wine.

Organoleptic characteristics
Intense purplish red color with brick-colored reflections. Intense vinous bouquet, with hints of morello cherry, violet and prunes, warm notes of wood and tobacco, spicy notes of cinnamon and leather. The palate is overbearing, full of body and structure. Powerful acidity and tannins are combined in a unique balance with hints of wood and herbaceous notes, in an intense and persistent taste. The aftertaste releases pleasant hints of morello cherry and spices previously perceived by the nose.

Host information

Terre Grosse, named after the clay soil where it is located, is situated on the right bank of the river Piave and tells a story of family, traditions, hard work, passion for the land and enhancement of local varieties such as Raboso and Grapariol.

Since 1931, when the company was born with grandfather Pietro Toninato, 4 generations have succeeded each other and since 2012 it has undertaken a path that aims at a more careful and environmentally friendly management, using the most modern knowledge and technologies. Certified organic since 2018, the interventions on the vineyard exclude synthetic products and are aimed at creating as much as possible a natural balance.

The history of the family remains strongly rooted in this land: carrying on this work is a way to revive it every day, with new emotions and motivations.
