Host information

Now in its third generation, the Muratori family has been dedicated to the exclusive production of Franciacorta since 1999, vinifying its own grapes from 54 hectares of vineyards, located in each of Franciacorta's six vocational units and all cultivated in accordance with the canons of organic agriculture.

The winery, whose name "Villa Crespia" is a tribute to a wine in vogue in the late Middle Ages and considered the forerunner of sparkling wines, is an example of architecture at the service of sustainability: it is developed almost 20 meters deep underground, allowing gravity to be used to move the musts during the harvest and guaranteeing a constant microclimate at various times of the year.

The agri-photovoltaic system, suspended above one of the vineyards adjacent to the winery (one of the first made in Italy), also ensuresenergy self-sufficiency.

Respect for and enhancement of the land and its grapes are founding concepts for the philosophy of the Muratori Family. This is the source of the winery's most representative wines: the Dosaggi Zero (as many as three labels in the collection), which are the most authentic interpretation of the soil, and the Simbiotic, the meeting of the organic path with decades of experience in winemaking without the use of sulfur.

Since the 2020 harvest, the renowned winemakerRiccardo Cotarella has been curating the Muratori wine line with his team. A valuable consultancy and collaboration based on a shared passion for Franciacorta and love for its grapes.

We had the loveliest tour and tasting with owner Anastasia! She was so generous with her time and was patient with our questions. Their dedication to sustainable methods and control in the product they make was very impressive. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area. Off the beaten path and such a hidden gem with outstanding wine. Thank you for such a wonderful visit!
