Four glasses to explore the multifaceted soul of Barbera. Start with a fresh Chiaretto, continue with a young Barbera (Bricco Barbera d'Asti or Cappella III), and then discover the "Giorgio Tenaglia," a medium-aged expression.
Grand finale with a Barbera Superiore, choosing between "Emozioni" or "1930." The experience is accompanied by fragrant breadsticks.

Host information

Among the highest and most picturesque hills of Monferrato lies Tenuta Tenaglia, an independent winery where history and nature have intertwined for centuries. Here, at an altitude of 450 meters, the vineyards breathe a unique microclimate, suspended between mists and clouds, under the watchful eye of the Sacred Mount of Crea – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003.

The estate owes its name to Governor Giorgio Tenaglia, who in the 17th century was enchanted by these lands and created his wine-dedicated refuge here. Today, the Ehrmann family carries on the same dream: to produce high-quality wines with passion, care, and a touch of creativity.

From the elegant Barberas – the queens of production – to the Grignolino, a symbol of the territory, to the surprising Syrah “Paradiso” and the fresh whites, each bottle tells the story of the mineral refinement of the marine-origin terroir and the love for handcrafted work, balancing tradition and innovation.

Visiting Tenuta Tenaglia means entering a world suspended between history, nature, and sensory pleasure. A place where wine becomes an experience and the landscape captivates at first glance.

Are you ready to discover the wines that “mature above the clouds”? Booking a visit is the best way to experience this magic firsthand.

Very welcoming. Nice insight in the winemaking process. Good wine, good food. Regional kitchen. Made a big effort to accommodate the 2 vegans in our groep and made a very tasty dinner for them.
