Discover the Wine Culture at Senatore Vini!

This Wine Experience will allow you to discover the history of this land and its wines: an informative, stimulating, and cultural experience for both amateurs and highly specialized audiences.

Through a guided tour, you will discover the Tenuta Senatore, which traces its roots back to 1900. You will explore all the phases of winemaking—from grape cultivation to the cellar—and experience the craftsmanship behind a bottle of wine. You will also learn how to properly serve wine, create successful food and wine pairings, and understand the characteristics necessary for producing successful wines.

Thanks to the region's geography and climate, Calabrian wines possess unique characteristics. However, it is the passion of the owner and the legacy of four generations that enables Senatore to produce every single bottle of wine, from vine to earth, respecting traditions and constantly pursuing quality.

Get ready to live an experience that will captivate all five senses. Immerse yourself in nature, let yourself be lulled by the sweet song of birds, breathe clean air, and savor the aromas and scents of Senatore wines, which have been strictly organic since 2017.

At the end of the tour, you will taste a refined selection of five Senatore wines (including the winery's most prestigious wine, Unico Senator).

The Winery

The extraordinary story of Senatore Vini begins in the early 1900s with Giuseppe Sculco, the great-great-grandfather who started a modest cellar in "Corfù Vecchiu". Later, Francesco Senatore continued the tradition, venturing into winemaking with a passion that has spanned generations. After World War I, Antonio Senatore planted new vineyards in the 1930s, laying the foundations of the current family-run winery. In the 1940s, Antonio and his brother Raffaele expanded the business by building a stone cellar in "Corfù Novu", which became the heart of Senatore Vini for nearly half a century.

The family's unwavering dedication to producing quality wine is evident in how successive generations have continued to grow the business. Giuseppe and Franco, the successors, inherited the vineyards and learned the art of aging from an early age. Raffaele and Salvatore, despite becoming professional doctors, remained deeply rooted in their family origins. With a view to modernization, they designed a new winemaking complex in the splendid region of San Lorenzo, in Cirò Marina.

The new generation of the family, Antonio, Emilio, and Vito, has taken the reins of the winery and is carrying it into the future. They blend the wisdom of their ancestors with modern techniques to ensure that Senatore Vini remains a leading winery in Calabria, known for its deep connection to the land, the art of winemaking, and enduring family traditions.

Today, Senatore Vini is a symbol of perseverance, respect for the land, and mastery in winemaking, passed down from generation to generation, making it a legend in the history of Calabrian viticulture.

The Wines

The vineyards of Senatore Vini are located in Cirò Marina, an area rich in history, and cover 40 hectares, 30 of which are dedicated to vine cultivation. The vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate, with sea breezes and sunny hills that create ideal conditions for producing high-quality DOP and IGP wines. Senatore Vini focuses on combining tradition with modern oenological techniques, utilizing the scientific consultancy of universities to achieve excellence. Sustainability is a core value, ensuring the fertility of the land for future generations. Their wines, such as Euke' BIO, Alikia BIO, Puntalice, and Nerello, showcase the rich history and unique terroir of the region.
