The "Franciacorta Dream" was born in the 1990s on the benches of the Agrarian School attended by Maria Luisa Santus, from Franciacorta, and Gianfranco Pagano, from Salento (now also husband and wife and parents of three children).

Both had a desire: to dedicate themselves to viticulture respecting nature and the rhythms of the land where it is practiced.

In 1995 their goal became clear and common: to totally dedicate themselves to viticulture in Franciacorta and to produce wines of great character and expressive uniqueness and so they started acquiring small plots of land in Franciacorta.

In five years they planted 60,000 vine shoots in 10 hectares of land.

At the base of the philosophy of the company there is the conviction that the task of small winemakers is to be a vanguard in defense of biodiversity and all the nuances that nature offers.

Since 2016, the path of organic certification of the grapes has begun. From the 2019 harvest, all Santus Franciacorta wines, which will see the light from the end of 2021, will be organic.

From the great desire to share, communicate and let people touch with their hands their life in Franciacorta and the company's philosophy, the project of the new winery was always born, for which works began in October 2019 and are about to be completed.

A journey narrated by those who live the winery every day, from vineyard to aging and tasting. On the occasion of the Franciacorta Festival 2026, experience the atmosphere of evenings in the winery with Santus Sunset, the event dedicated to those who wish to spend an evening with music, Franciacorta, and local flavors. On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September evening, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, our winery transforms into a unique space for a Franciacorta aperitif accompanied by a live DJ Set on vinyl by @vini_e_vinili, amidst vineyards, sunsets, and glasses to share. The star of the evening will be our Santus Franciacorta Brut paired with food offerings by Il Colmetto, with choices including: Bread and Salami Melted Cheese Grilled Tomato Entry cost: €20 per person The experience includes: 1 glass of Santus Franciacorta Brut, 1 food item, live DJ Set on vinyl Glass deposit: €10 (refunded upon return of the glass) Reservation required Throughout the evening, it will also be possible to purchase additional glasses of Franciacorta, bottles, and food offerings directly in the winery at the prices indicated on site. Cellar tour and tasting of 2 glasses of Franciacorta. The tasting is accompanied by baked goods and samples. The tasting can be booked, for organizational reasons, within 48 hours. From Monday to Friday, no minimum number of people is required; on Saturdays and Sundays, tours are available for a minimum of 2 people.

Cantina innovativa con un’ottimo potenziale

Prima esperienza di degustazione in Franciacorta. E’ stato un onore fare un Brindisi con gli eccellenti BRUT e DOSAGGIO ZERO Santus in occasione del mio compleanno!. Gli Squisiti proprietari hanno creato un ambiente elegante di sharme dentro e fuori, e mi hanno regalato 2 ore indimenticabili! Ci rivedremo presto.

Molto facile da trovare e con parcheggio antistante, è una realtà creata da zero circondata da uva e natura. E come da titolo, non è grande al cospetto di altre cantine, ampio spazio verde, capannone (super pulito, ordinato e soprattutto tecnologico) e salone con desk e shop. La visita dura un'oretta poi si degusta: noi avevamo la platinum con saten, bolla e l'essenza...provatelo, ne vale assolutamente la pena!

TASTING PLATINUM

Bellissima esperienza in questa cantina non "romantica" ma molto moderna ed orientata alla massimizzazione della lavorazione. Grande igiene dei locali ed ottimo vino. Il proprietario ci ha fatto passare un paio d'ore, tra spiegazione e degustazione, che son volate. Vino da top ten.
