Beldemonio di Poggio della Dogana is a Vermouth Rosso produced with Sangiovese grapes from Castrocaro Terme and Terra del Sole, to which sugar, alcohol, herbs and spices are added in this red wine infusion. It is aged for 12 months in barriques, then aromatised in infusion for 3 months with herbs and spices and then refined in the bottle for a minimum of 4 months.

The label image drawn from preparatory studies by Silvio Gordini, it probably represents the rebirth of nature, the encounter between Zephyrus and Chloris from which Flora is born, characterised by chromatic freshness and lively movement. The circular movement upwards brings the gaze back to the transformation taking place.

Beldemonius was a track horse, endowed with a perfect physical conformation, his legs and hooves were well-balanced and solid. He made himself known, however, for his solitary and warlike temperament towards the other horses in the stable. It was a real challenge to train him and to let his natural talents shine through. Thanks to the tenacity of his grandfather Gino, however, he was one of the strongest champions in the stable.

Poggio della Dogana is located in Terra del Sole, an elevation that in the 16th century served as a boundary point between the Papal Romagna and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Today, the farm spans 20 hectares across the hills of Castrocaro Terme – Terra del Sole and Brisighella, in the heart of Romagna.

The characteristics of the land are crucial for the unique style of our wines: the brown and ochre clays of Castrocaro, rich in bromine, sulfur, and calcium, and the sea breeze blowing from the Adriatic just a few dozen kilometers away to the limestone soils of Brisighella, which impart the unmistakable extension of sapidity.
