Poggio della Dogana is located in Terra del Sole, an elevation that in the 16th century served as a boundary point between the Papal Romagna and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Today, the farm spans 20 hectares across the hills of Castrocaro Terme – Terra del Sole and Brisighella, in the heart of Romagna.
The characteristics of the land are crucial for the unique style of our wines: the brown and ochre clays of Castrocaro, rich in bromine, sulfur, and calcium, and the sea breeze blowing from the Adriatic just a few dozen kilometers away to the limestone soils of Brisighella, which impart the unmistakable extension of sapidity.
