Podere Paganini

Product information
Ortrugo Colli Piacentini D.O.C. organic sparkling wine re-fermented in the bottle, followed by remuage and disgorgement in order to eliminate the present bottom, suitable from aperitif to the whole meal.
The soil in which our Ortrugo is grown is rich in sedimentary rocks containing different types of fossils. These fragile whitish rocks, which emerge from the ground during processing, crumble under the sun to show in the moonlight the wonder of the treasure held within them. Here, then, is the bottle clothed with one of the treasures that these 'Moon Stones' have shown us.
Host information
Podere Paganini was established in 2010 from the revitalization of old family vineyards in the heart of the Val Trebbia, in a small hamlet of Travo. From the very beginning, we chose to produce grapes and wines according to the organic method, combining respect for the land with innovative tools such as weather monitoring through technologies developed by the Catholic University of Piacenza. Tradition and innovation naturally coexist in our daily work.
Our roots go back to the 1970s when Giuseppe, known as Pinè, left his fashion career in Geneva to return to his homeland in Italy. With a creative spirit and tireless passion, he began cultivating vines, passing on to the family the value of work, genuineness, and love for this valley. Today, we carry forward that dream with the same commitment, breathing new life into the home vineyards.
Our labels tell who we are: a circle, symbolizing harmony and unity, crossed by rays representing all family members. For us, wine is this: sharing, balance, and the desire to enhance our land with humility and authenticity.
