Le Cantorie

Franciacorta DOCG Rosé “Rosi delle Margherite”
Le Cantorie
Product information
Our Rosé, a classic method dedicated to our maternal grandmother Rosi, was born from the Pinot Noir grapes grown at the top of the hill of Gussago called La Cudola - at 300 meters above sea level - which left a strong mark on the Bontempi family.
Thanks to the favourable exposure, the grapes are harvested in the first half of August and then vinified; in this phase the must, left in contact with its skins for about ten hours, acquires its characteristic pink colour, with copper nuances. Afterwards, about seven months after the harvest, the wine is bottled with the addition of selected yeasts and left to age on its own yeasts for about 30 months.
A structured wine with a strong, full and captivating taste, given by the Pinot Noir grapes in purity. It has an intense and seductive scent of rose, small red fruits and strawberry that goes perfectly with both meat and fish dishes.
Host information
At the peak of the Casaglio hill in Gussago (Brescia), in the easternmost part of Franciacorta, stands Le Cantorie, a family-run winery. Here, among the green rows and the blue sky, rises an elegant and imposing structure, clad with locally hand-crafted stones sourced directly from the hill where the vineyards grow.
Founded in 2005 thanks to the idea of Emiliano and Maria's third daughter, Elisabetta, Le Cantorie is today a small gem not only architecturally but also, and above all, in terms of production. From the first few hundred bottles, over the last twenty years, Le Cantorie has reached a production of 75,000 bottles a year, all produced with the 14 hectares of owned vineyards, located near the winery and only in hilly positions.
The management of the winery is in the hands of sisters Erika and Elisabetta, the first wine producers in the family that has always worked in the wine industry. Every weekend, together with an all-female team, they open the doors of the winery to tell the story of the family and the philosophy that guides them. All experiences include a visit to the entire structure: an immersive experience discovering panoramic points, historic vineyards, thermo-conditioned steel tanks, large stacks, and oak barrels for wine aging, immersed in an environment that skillfully mixes stone, glass, and wood.
