The Giovanna Tantini winery consists of 11.5 hectares and is located between the towns of Castelnuovo del Garda and Sona.
The dream in a drawer, kept hidden for a long time has come true ... 20 years ago Giovanna Tantini inherited the vineyard from her father. With a degree in law, she enrolled in a master course in wine management in order to have a base in oenology, agronomy and business management. She has always worked in the vineyard in order to learn as much as possible, supported by the farmers from whom she learned the fundamentals.
She started a restructuring of the vineyards, Bardolino and Corvina, typical of the area. In 2002, after many experiments, together with the agronomist and the enologists who strongly believed in her project of creating two great Bardolino and Chiaretto, she vinified the first vintage. Realizing two wines that fully valorize the typical appellations of the Lake.
A winemaker for passion who challenges herself every day in order to make wines of character in every vintage. With Bardolino she was one of the pioneers to demonstrate that it is a wine that can be fresh even after a longer aging in tanks and in bottle...a great satisfaction!
Great study and commitment also for Chiaretto rosé, a wine made with the same grapes of Bardolino, with a careful vinification always done at controlled temperatures, in order to keep particular aromas, typical of the area.
After BARDOLINO and CHIARETTO were added: the white wine CUSTOZA and CORVINA GARDA DOC, a fresh red wine, created to be drunk in summertime.
Dedicated to his children Ettore and Greta, he created 2 IGT red wines from Verona, which are always the expression of the territory, but with particular harvesting choices and in some ways extreme. Corvina is the dominant grape in these 2 wines as well.
The personality of Giovanna Tantini winery has grown during the years, always remaining faithful to the characteristics of the wines which represent it, not following the "fashion of the moment", an artisan winery which is part of FIVI (Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti), therefore bound to the land and to the production of wine only with its own grapes and whose wines are the expression of the territory.
