We are Ghëddo, a small and young winery. We have no coats of arms or heralds to rely on—only the history of our land, which we know, respect, and strive to enhance every day.
We cultivate about three hectares of vineyards. This size allows us to dedicate the care and attention that each vine deserves, and to deeply understand our soil. Three principles guide our work: respect for the vineyard ecosystem, making good wine, and having fun while doing it.
We own vineyards in La Morra and also work on plots in Roddino, in Roero, and in the Tortona area. Our winery is located in Monforte d’Alba, in the Bussia area, while our tasting room, the "Ciabòt", is just outside the village of La Morra.
The Ciabòt of Rocchettevino is an 18th-century building with two levels. On the lower floor, there was—and still is—a well; we have transformed the space to include a bathroom and a storage area.
The upper floor, originally used as a shelter and resting place, has maintained its welcoming spirit. Here we organize tastings when the weather does not allow us to be under the outdoor pergola. It offers our guests a warm and inviting space to sip our wines. Originally, there was a fireplace, which we have transformed into a modern wood stove.
The wine landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato are UNESCO World Heritage sites. When we restored the Ciabòt in 2021, we did so with great care, respecting the character of the building, recovering original architectural elements, and restoring or reusing the original wooden furnishings.
Our wines faithfully reflect each vintage—in good times and bad. It all starts with meticulous work in the vineyard, which continues with a precise and impeccable approach in the winery. That same clarity is what we strive to express in the glass: clean and sincere aromas.
