Situated in Barolo, Germano Angelo Winery is a bastion of Langhe wine history and culture. We offer sensory tasting services, highlighting not only our beautiful wines, but also the typical products that have been traditionally paired with them. Our approach combines taste, sight, smell, and touch, creating a unique experience that will make you fall in love with the Langhe, with a touchof irony and fun.
The Germano family plays a key role in Barolo's wine-making tradition. Teobaldo Germano founded and presided over the Cantina sociale di Barolo in 1902, making wine almost exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes and winning numerous awards. In 1930, Davide Germano purchased and converted the premises into his own winery-the same place where today we offer tastings of Barolo and other wines from the Langhe.
Davide Germano not only wanted to produce a quality Barolo, but also had the determination to promote it. In 1934, he founded the Consortium for the Protection of Barolo and Barbaresco, anticipating by decades the introduction of the concepts of DOC and DOCG.
Today, tradition meets innovation. Viviana Germano has dedicated herself to regenerative horticulture, creating the farm Il Bosco delle Galline Volanti. Dishes served in our winery restaurant are prepared with fresh ingredients from her garden.
We invite you to discover our world. Book your visit and tasting today
We invite you to discover 'The PERFECT COUPLE', the sublime art of pairing wine with typical products during our Barolo tastings. This unique experience allows you to explore the links between our Langhe wines and the region's typical products, a journey that goes beyond a simple tasting.
This itinerary can be enjoyed as a simple wine tasting, or it can be enhanced with a light lunch, complemented by a visit to our winery in Barolo and our vineyards. Prices vary depending on the wines and the experience chosen, ranging from 49.00 to 89.00 euros.
During the tasting, we will guide you in investigating the 'perfect' link between the wine and the typical products that accompany it. During traditional wine tastings, it is rare to explore why certain flavors, textures and aromas go so well together, and often, local gastronomic products remain in the shadow of our famous Langhe wines.
In our experience, on the other hand, through an engaging sensory journey, we will guide you to discover not only the unique characteristics of our wines and their pairings, but also the producers, stories and anecdotes that accompany them
