Cantine Sant’Agata: a journey through Ruchè, artisanal spirits, and hospitality in Monferrato

In the heart of Monferrato, among the hills of Ruchè, lies a winery that has chosen to combine tradition and experimentation in a subtle yet effective way: Cantine Sant’Agata, located in Scurzolengo, a small village immersed in the Piedmontese nature. Here, a project takes shape that goes beyond mere wine production, proposing a new way to experience wine and spirits.

A journey born from the experience of Franco Cavallero

At the helm of Cantine Sant’Agata is Franco Cavallero, a producer with over twenty years of experience in the world of wine and spirits. His work is divided between two realities: Cantine Sant’Agata, dedicated to the indigenous wines of the area (with Ruchè as the protagonist), and Franco Cavallero Spirits, a line of distilled products and Vermouth produced in small batches.

Cavallero is also the founder of Il Cicchetto, a renowned restaurant and cocktail bar in Asti, showcasing a cross-disciplinary approach and attention to the evolution of contemporary tastes.

An experiential format among vineyards, barrel rooms, and mixology

Cantine Sant’Agata offers gastronomic experiences designed for a curious, passionate audience in search of authenticity. Guided tours take place among vineyards, cellars, and barrel rooms, featuring vertical tastings of Ruchè, tastings of Superiore Vermouth from Turin, artisanal bitters, and gin. The journey concludes with a mixology session, during which each guest can create their personalized cocktail.
 

The winery has developed various flexible formats, suitable for different needs:

• Spirits Experience: guided tasting of the house's distillates and cocktail workshop;
