The Tenuta del Buonamico, located southwest in the village of Montecarlo (LU), was established in the early 1960s by renowned restaurateurs from Turin with the aim of enhancing the local wines.

Today, under the guidance of the Fontana family, the company stands out as a reference point in the production of fine wines, keeping alive the historical traditions of Montecarlo and contributing to the prestige of this denomination.

The business project has focused on extensive restructuring, new high-density vineyards, and a selection of noble grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Vermentino, Syrah, and Canaiolo.

An experimental vineyard dedicated to Canaiolo Rosa and Buonamico testifies to the commitment to safeguarding rare indigenous varieties.

With the support of winemaker Alberto Antonini and thanks to a modern and cutting-edge winery, Tenuta has managed to combine tradition and innovation while respecting the territory.

The work in the vineyard follows the rhythm of the seasons: manual pruning, targeted fertilization, and sustainable agronomic practices ensure the quality of the grapes.

The harvest, carried out manually or with modern harvesting machines, takes place at the ideal moment of ripeness to preserve aromas and structure.

Particular attention is given to the selection of grapes and the management of vegetation, to obtain wines that best express the identity of the terroir.
