Our company "Guia" was born in the '80s when Mario Buso, having the need to start sparkling wine making and the consequent sale of his wines, changed the name of the family company to "Guia". Already before the war the Buso family produced grapes and sold wines in the hills of Valdobbiadene, in the hamlet of Guia. Today the family's historic vineyards are joined by some vineyards purchased over the years by Mario.
Today we work 20 vineyards in the historical area of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, recently recognized as a World Heritage Site, for a total of 25 hectares.
The vinification takes place separately for each vineyard in order to enhance each terroir. Only then, if necessary, do we make blends between the various vineyards to obtain our sparkling wine bases.
Sparkling wine making using the Martinotti method is still prevalent in our winery, but not forgetting the traditional refermentation in the bottle, the master founder of sparkling wine in Valdobbiadene.
Our philosophy is based on two principles: guaranteeing the complete supply chain, not buying grapes from other winemakers, and direct sale to the final consumer, allowing us to have a continuous feedback on the quality of our bubbles.
The annual production of our winery is about 50 thousand bottles.
