Vigneto Fracia - Valtellina Superiore Valgella DOCG

UVE: Nebbiolo-Chiavennasca.
PRODUCTION AREA: 6.49.78 hectares of property in Fracia, out of 10 of this sub-area, are an exclusive of the Nino Negri winery.
ALTITUDE AND EXPOSURE: The vineyards consist of steep terraces, with southern exposure, located at an altitude ranging between 350 and 500 meters and grown
horizontally in relation to the valley, from west to east.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LAND: Shallow sandy loamy soil with loose texture.
HEALTHING SYSTEM: Guyot modified with a bow.
HARVEST: The bunches selected according to the criteria of maturation indexes were harvested in early November (late harvest) to promote the
concentration of sugars in the grape.
VINIFICATION: The grapes have been vinified traditionally with winemakers at controlled temperature (28 ° - 24 ° C) for 8
days.
AGING: After a passage in steel vats, the new wine was placed in French oak barrels of 2nd passage, where it remains for 20 months, then
it refines in the bottle for another six months.
ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES: Brilliant garnet colour with ruby reflections; complex perfume with hints of dog rose and violet that evolves into spicy hints.

The Nino Negri winery, founded in 1897, is the largest winery in Valtellina.
