Production process: The grapes used to make Moscato, as well as Zibibbo grapes, are harvested later than usual.
This process gives the wine a richer colour, slightly darker than that of standard white wines.
Furthermore, Moscato is made from grapes that have been left to dry slightly on the vine, which imparts a sweet and very distinctive flavour to this wine, offering a unique taste experience on the palate.
Another interesting feature of Moscato is that its production involves a process called ‘Mistella’, in which alcohol is added as soon as the must begins to ferment.
In fact, after the grapes are crushed, alcohol is added to halt fermentation.
