We will begin the experience by visiting the vineyards surrounding the winery and then the winery itself. Tasting to discover the native grape variety Erbaluce in the different vinifications, the 3 DOCGs, and declinations of La Masera. The wines will be paired with cured meats, typical local cheeses and pasta di meliga (sweet)..
During the tasting, the wines, history and philosophy of the winery will be told.

As children, at that age when we imagine ourselves as astronauts or soccer players, we used to confide in each other that it would be nice, one day, to be able to produce Erbaluce Passito, this "magical" product that was part of our folk tradition and that, on autumn evenings, our grandparents and parents would take us to see and taste.

Many years have passed, each of us has made our own path, both of family and professional life, but one day we found ourselves talking about our dream again: as if time had not passed, with the same carefree attitude with which, so many years before, we talked about our projects.

And we realized that the time to realize our dream had finally arrived.

And so, with passion, tenacity, commitment and a lot of joy, we built La Masera. And we like to think that some of this passion and energy can be found in our product and that some trace of our dream may also reach those who choose to taste our wines

Erbaluce

We were attracted by the opportunity to taste a little-known and under-rated white wine, Erbaluce. It is an elegant and sophisticated variety confined to this gem of a small Canavese wine region, within easy reach just 45mins NE of Turin. We were treated to the most excellent and personal wine tasting by Alessandro, one of a passionate and enthusiastic group of friends who had the dream and vision to produce wines of distinction. We were surprised by the range and quality of their wines…sparkling whites and rosato(methode champenoise), 3 Erbaluce varieties, Barbera & Nebbiolo reds and sweet Passito. Italian, English & French are spoken…sometimes (on our part) in the same sentence! We spent a very convivial, informative and memorable 2 hours. Highly recommended.
