Irpinia Aglianico D.O.C. "Vincarl" is a ruby red wine with orange highlights. The nose reveals hints of red fruit, vanilla and spices, to which hints of black and green pepper are added after a few swirls. The palate is full, balanced, with good structure and body and good flavor persistence. A well-structured taste that concludes with a lingering finish.
ZONE OF PRODUCTION: Montemarano (Av), Irpinia, Campania.
UVE: Aglianico 100%.
VINEYARDS: Aglianico grown in spurred cordon system on clay soil and tending to limestone with a density of about 3,000 plants per ha.
WINE HARVESTING TIME: Early November, manual in boxes.
WINE-MAKING: Maceration for 10/15 days and fermentation at an uncontrolled temperature with two daily pump-overs.
MATURING AND AGEING: Refining and maturation for 6 months in barriques of 3rd/4th passage and then (assemblage) in steel tanks before completing aging in the bottle for 6 months.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: Ruby red with orange reflections. On the nose hints of red fruits, vanilla and spices. After a few rotations hints of black and green pepper. Good intensity and persistence. Balanced on the palate with good structure and body and good flavor persistence.
GASTRONOMIC PAIRINGS: First and second courses of meat and medium-aged cheeses.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: It is served at a temperature of 16°-18° C
