Merlot has found a second home in Friuli Venezia Giulia, establishing itself among the French grape varieties that arrived in the region. With a deep ruby red color, enriched by violet reflections, it greets the nose with notes of sour cherry and an explosion of floral hints of violet, complemented by red berry fruits.
The bouquet is delicate, characterized by hints of cherry and sour cherry, evoking a soft and elegant structure, with delicate fruity aromas of blueberry, cherry, and liquorice that combine harmoniously.
This wine pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes, including cold cuts, rabbit, meat sauces, and soft cheeses. It is particularly suited to accompany red meat dishes, roasts, poultry, and aged cheeses, thanks to its ability to harmonize with bold and complex flavors.
