The visit to the vineyard and winery ends with a tasting dedicated to Franciacorta wines that, thanks to long aging in the cellar, manage to enhance their personality.
Founded in 1870, Barone Pizzini is one of the oldest wineries in Franciacorta and is the first to produce Franciacorta from organic viticulture.
The conversion begins in 1998, in 2001 the vineyards get the certification and in 2005 the first Franciacorta from certified organic viticulture is sold.
Today there are about 60 hectares cultivated in organic by Baron Pizzini, divided into 30 parcels scattered around Franciacorta.
The primary objective of the company is to produce quality wines closely linked to the territory. Hence the choice to rely on organic farming.
