The estate of Canneto extends on the western slope of Montepulciano, near the beautiful church of San Biagio and has a long wine-growing tradition.
With the purchase, the new owners wanted to restore the buildings respecting the viticultural vocation, building a new cellar, buying machinery, plant and equipment, taking care and rejuvenating the vines and olive trees.
The farm measures 48 hectares, 30 of which are cultivated with vineyards, 16 of these hectares are reserved for the production of Vino Nobile.
The vines grow on marly soil mixed with gravel, located at an altitude between 350 and 400 m above sea level. The vineyards are mainly south oriented and the cultivation is horizontal cordon spurred. A further 4 hectares are reserved for olive trees for the production of D.O.P. Terre di Siena Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
