The Botticino Consortium was established in 1996, but the history of this wine goes back much further in time. The Botticino DOC, officially recognized in 1968, is indeed one of the oldest controlled designations of origin in Italy.
The Consortium for the Protection of Botticino DOC Wine works for the promotion, enhancement, and protection of this emblematic product of the territory, a guardian of a winemaking tradition passed down through generations. The local production activities boast a long history, dating back to the early decades of the twentieth century, with historical realities
