Our history has ancient origins: since 1870 we have vinified grapes produced directly in our farm on the rolling hills of Castrezzone (Muscoline - BS) and Polpenazze del Garda, on the Brescia side of the homonymous lake: a small company that covers an area of 18 hectares, 9 cultivated with vineyards and 2.5 cultivated with olive trees. 
 
La Guarda, a family business founded by his father Angelo and now led by his son Luigi and his wife Francesca, is born from the passion for this territory: with the help of Angelo's experience, they managed to combine tradition with the application of modern technologies and innovations in the viticultural and oenological fields, with the sole aim of reaching ever higher quality levels
 
The vines grown are: Barbera, Groppello, Marzemino, Merlot and Sangiovese the reds, Riesling Renano and Chardonnay the whites. 
 
In the small basement cellar it is possible to get into the heart of the production and follow step by step the meticulous processes that, starting from the bunch of grapes, lead to the wine ready for the bottle.

Chiaretto Rosé wine DOC Lombaria La Guarda 50% Groppello 50% Barbera, Sangiovese, Marzemino 13.00% VOL. The Garda del Garda Classico Chiaretto DOC, the most characteristic and typical wine of the Brescia side of Lake Garda and unique in the national wine scene, was born a few hours away from the pressing of the grapes. It is the experience of the producer who intervenes to separate the must from the skins in order to obtain the right shade and intensity of the color and the apex of fresh and fruity aromas. The vinification ends in particular stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The correct union of red grape varieties (at least 50% Groppello, the remaining 50% Barbera, Marzemino and Sangiovese) traditionally grown in the area of ??Lake Garda called Valtènesi on land of morainic origin, makes Chiaretto a unique and exemplary wine, delicate in all its aspects: from the pinkish color with violet reflections, from the pleasant bouquet, to the soft, decisive, slightly sour and salty taste. It expresses its qualities at best a few months after the harvest. Riviera del Garda Classic Groppello Red Wine DOC Lombaria La Guarda Farm Groppello 13% VOL. The Riviera del Garda Classico Groppello DOC is a red wine coming from the vinification of the "Groppello di Mocasina", an autochthonous vine from Valtenesi. It is grown in soils that, due to exposure and microclimate, guarantee optimal ripening of the grapes; the bunches, very tight and compact, in fact fear an excessive humidity that could cause deterioration. After a careful selection of the grapes that allows the entry into the cellar exclusively to healthy and ripe bunches, the traditional process of vinification in red begins: the grapes are left to macerate for about 6/7 days. The product obtained remains for about 10/12 months in stainless steel tanks before being bottled. At this point it can face an aging of 3/4 years. The farm LA GUARDA is located in Castrezzone di Muscoline in the province of Brescia on the Brescia side of Lake Garda. 105 Blanc
105 Blanc White brut Lombaria Look at her Riesling and Chardonnay 12.50% VOL. Charmat sparkling wine produced with the only Riesling and Chardonnay grapes traditionally cultivated in Valtenesi where they find the ideal pedo-climatic conditions to be able to express themselves at their best. 105 are the days that separate the collection of the grapes from the bottling of the wine: a very short period to ensure that the refermentation in the autoclave can maintain and enhance, through the effervescence, the characteristics of freshness, fruity, fragrance , of youth and the primary perfumes, which recall the must just extracted from the skins, keeping unchanged the typical varietal characteristics. At the sight it appears a lively pale yellow color with slightly greenish reflections. In the mouth a slight acidity is perceived, the taste is enveloping and harmonious. The company has an area of ??20 hectares, 9 vineyards and 2.5 for the cultivation of the olive tree and extends over two hills, whose height varies from 320 to 370 meters above sea level.The soil, characterized by stones and sand origina, together to the particularly dry and constantly ventilated climate, an optimal pedo-climatic situation for the cultivation of the vine. It is a young sparkling wine that can be appreciated as an aperitif and to accompany hors d'oeuvres or dishes based on lake fish or white meats. 105 Rosè
105 Rosè - Rose wine - Lombaria - Look at her - 100% Sangiovese - 12.50% VOL. Charmat sparkling wine produced with the only Sangiovese grapes traditionally grown in Valtenesi where they find the ideal pedo-climatic conditions to be able to express themselves at their best. 105 are the days that separate the Sangiovese grape harvest from bottling the wine: a very short period to ensure that the refermentation in the autoclave can maintain and enhance, through the effervescence, the characteristics of freshness, fruity, fragrance, youth and primary scents, which recall the must just extracted from the skins, keeping unchanged the typical characteristics of Sangiovese. The aromas of the Viola Mammola and the well-known forest fruits give this sparkling wine a harmony and a balance of rare confirmation. At the sight it appears a lively passionate pink color, with very accentuated and intriguing purple reflections. The company has an area of 20 hectares, 9 vineyards and 2.5 for the cultivation of the olive tree and extends over two hills, whose height varies from 320 to 370 meters above sea level.The soil, characterized by stones and sand origina, together to the particularly dry and constantly ventilated climate, an optimal pedo-climatic situation for the cultivation of the vine. The management of the company is of a family type. The cultivated vines are: Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera le rosse, Riesling Renano la bianca. It is a young sparkling wine that can be appreciated as an aperitif and to accompany hors d'oeuvres or dishes based on lake fish or white meats. RISMI'
WHITE WINE - Lombaria - Look at her - Riesling - 12% VOL. Rismì is a white wine made exclusively from Riesling grapes traditionally grown in Valtènesi.  Its scent is slightly aromatic, fresh and fruity; at the sight it has a shiny pale straw yellow with greenish reflections: it is the typical color of wines coming from the pressing of full-bodied and good-quality grapes. The company has an area of 20 hectares, 9 vineyards and 2.5 for the cultivation of the olive tree and extends over two hills, whose height varies from 320 to 370 meters above sea level.The soil, characterized by stones and sand origina, together to the particularly dry and constantly ventilated climate, an optimal pedo-climatic situation for the cultivation of the vine. The management of the company is of a family type. The cultivated vines are: Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera le rosse, Riesling Renano la bianca. The Rismì, also excellent as an aperitif, is best expressed with dishes based on fish from the lake or the sea. It is best enjoyed if served at a temperature between 9 and 10 °C.
SABBIOSO
VITIGNO: 100% Sangiovese – GRADAZIONE: 13,5% VOL - Sabbioso is a characteristic wine only produced with Sangiovese grapes that come from the hill that overlooks the borough of Castrezzone, unique for the sunshine and the calcareous composition of the soil. The grapes, only after a careful selection, are undergone at a soft pressing and a destemming; the wine ends fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 18 days; then Sabbioso rests in Slavonia oak barrels for 18 months. Sabbioso has a bright ruby red colour with garnet red highlights; the scent is particularly warm and ethereal, and it moves to a ripe fruit, plum and cherry: that is a direct consequence of a long maceration of the most with the peels. It is served in large glasses, which help an optimal oxygenation of the wine and the dominant wood aroma slightly spicy without hiding the soft scent of violet, a classical feature of Sangiovese. Its warm and vinous aftertaste comes with a soft tannin rate and a right acidity. Sabbioso may rests in bottles for a further ageing for 8/9 years and it improves as the time goes on. The estate extends for 20 hectars between two hills, starting 320 up to 370 meters height and 2,5 hectars are designated to the cultivation of olive trees. The soil is made of stones and alluvial sand, the climate is dry and steady windy, such to be considered from specialists the ideal condition to obtain products of hight quality, probably the best of the area. “La Guarda” farm is a family business. The owners, Francesca and her husband Luigi, combine experience and old tradition to modern technologies, viticultural and enological innovations with the goal of to obtain higher quality levels. ABBINAMENTO/TEMPERATURA DI SERVIZIO: Bottles should be opened at least one hour before serving, ideally at 18° C. It is well matched with barbequed, roasted and stewed meats, game and the traditional spiedo bresciano.
MARZEMINO
Vitigno: 100% Marzemino – Gradazione: 13% VOL – DESCRIZIONE: Garda Marzemino is produced with Marzemino of Refrontolo grapes; this vine is hardly considered by producers because of its little productivity. In La Guarda, this clone has been tested and experimented during the last 15 years to increase its quantity without changing qualities and peculiarities such as a particular plain ripening, a very intense red color, a 13° C alcohol rate, a slightly herbal taste and a good sapidity conferred by the sandy composition of the soil. Garda Marzemino is aged in oak barrels for 10/12 months before being bottled. Then this wine can be preserved for at least 8/9 more year to better express its character. Garda Marzemino is an highly-respected and firmly-built wine with an intense ruby red color and purple undertones; it has a characteristic taste with a pleasant undergrowth aroma. PRODUTTORE: Negri Family started making wine in 1870 with grapes produced by third party. In 1970, all the necessary grapes were produced in the familiy Farm located in Castrezzone di Muscoline, on the Brescia shore of the Garda Lake, and member of the local union called “Classical Garda DOC Wines”. Bottles should be opened at least one houre before serving, ideally at temperature of 16/18° C.
INCHINO
VITIGNO: 100% Groppello - GRADAZIONE: 17% VOL – DESCRIZIONE: Inchino borned whit the meeting between Groppello a tipical grape of Valtènesi area, with the elegance of some spices, roots and flowers. This meetiing confer to this wine softnness and sweetness and, at the same time, originality for ita spicy exciting taste but well equilibrated. In 1970, all the necessary grapes were produced in the familiy Farm located in Castrezzone di Muscoline, on the Brescia shore of the Garda Lake, and member of the local union called “Classical Garda DOC Wines”. The soil is made of stones and alluvial sand, the climate is dry and steady windy, such to be considered from specialists the ideal condition to obtain products of hight quality, probably the best of the area. - ABBINAMENTO/TEMPERATURA DI SERVIZIO: Desserts with dark chocolate with low percentage of cocoa or with chestnuts; it's also very good used for preparing a particula zabaione or to cook risotto or roasted meets.
