Arcari + Danesi & SoloUVA

Arcari + Danesi & SoloUVA narrate a singular project expressed through two wineries, united by a shared production vision, a common method, and people, yet designed to express themselves with different languages and depths.

The Birth of the Project

The Arcari + Danesi Agricultural Company officially began with the 2006 harvest, from an idea conceived about ten years earlier by Giovanni Arcari and Nico Danesi. Friends since childhood, both have always worked in the wine industry: Giovanni as a merchant, Nico as an oenologist. Over time, they have contributed to the creation and development of various wine realities, sharing an entrepreneurial spirit and a common vision.

The dream of their own winery takes shape in Coccaglio, atop Monte Orfano, the hill marking the southern boundary of Franciacorta. Here, a unique winery is born: completely carved into the hill and built using only the rock extracted during the excavation, in perfect harmony with the landscape. Roberta Cotelli, who manages administration and hospitality, is also a partner in the company.

Within this project, SoloUVA also comes to life, a winery born as a natural evolution and a "younger sister" of Arcari + Danesi, dedicated to a more immediate and educational narrative of the same production method. Arianna Vianelli, a partner of the winery, manages daily operations, hospitality in the winery, and conducts tastings, guiding guests through the discovery of the wines, the SoloUVA Method, and the territory.

The SoloUVA Method

Both wineries share the SoloUVA Method, a production philosophy that does not involve the use of exogenous sugars at any stage of winemaking, from fermentation to disgorgement, starting from phenolically ripe grapes.

A rigorous choice that centers the fruit, the territory, the vintage, and time as the only expressive tools.

The Franciacorta Arcari + Danesi wines are all vintage, deep, and designed to narrate evolution over time.

The SoloUVA wines, on the other hand, are non-vintage and represent the identity card of the method, a clear and direct first approach to this production philosophy.

Hospitality - Winery Tastings

At the Arcari + Danesi & SoloUVA winery, you can participate in various tasting experiences designed to offer a comprehensive view of the project:

• Tastings dedicated to Arcari + Danesi wines, focusing on vintage Franciacorta and the deeper expression of the SoloUVA Method.
• Tasting dedicated to SoloUVA wines, to discover the method through more immediate and transversal wines.
• Mixed tasting dedicated to the Pinot Noir grape, including wines and sparkling wines produced by both wineries, to explore the different expressions of sparkling Pinot Noir through different territories, vinifications, and aging times.

During the beautiful season, tastings are mainly held outdoors, in front of the terraced vineyard that hosts most of the company's vineyards, with a privileged view of the Monte Orfano territory.

All experiences, weather permitting, are preceded by a vineyard walk, to narrate the characteristics of the morainic amphitheater and the vineyards surrounding the winery.
