Taurasi D.O.C.G. "Delisio" is a ruby red wine with orange highlights. The nose expresses a broad and complex bouquet, containing hints of cherry, licorice and spices, enriched by delicate balsamic notes. The palate offers a full and enveloping experience, with a pleasant acidity, tannicity and savoriness that underline its longevity. A well-structured taste of engaging complexity that culminates in a lingering finish.
ZONE OF PRODUCTION: Montemarano (Av), Italy.
UVE: Aglianico 100%.
VINEYARDS: Aglianico grown by spurred cordon on clay soil and tending to limestone with a density of about 3,000 plants per ha.
WINE HARVESTING TIME: Early November, manual in boxes.
WINE-MAKING: Maceration for 25 days and fermentation at an uncontrolled temperature with two daily pump-over.
MATURING AND AGEING: Refining and maturation for 24 months in barrique, then in steel tanks before completing the aging in the bottle.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS: Ruby red with orange reflections. On the nose hints of cherry, licorice and spices with also some balsamic notes. Good olfactory complexity. Rich palate with still evident acidity, tannicity and savoriness. Definitely from long aging.
GASTRONOMIC PAIRINGS: Accompanies roasts, game and aged cheeses.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: It is served at a temperature of 16°-18° C.
