Next to the wine-making cellar is the "Cantina del pellegrino", a room created from a part of the old production cellar that is no longer in use and where you can admire the masonry tanks that make up the walls, skilfully restored to their former glory, and the furniture, made from the reuse of the staves of barrels and barriques that have been discarded, to give them new life. Here you can buy our products directly or simply stop for a taste or a tasting, perhaps in front of the lit fireplace.
Back in 1984 we were the first winery in the Oltrepò Pavese area to convert to organic farming, at a time when this was certainly not a commercial advantage but was viewed by most with distrust, as something strange, risky, unnecessary and risky.
We are members of FIVI (Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti - Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers), an association that brings together all producers who are able to carry out production from A (care of the vineyard, cultivation, harvest) to Z (vinification and marketing).
Discover our history, our philosophy and what led our parents, in 1984, to make choices that were considered crazy at the time...
How the visit unfolds
1) The production cellar
We will tell you the history of our company, explain our production method and the various wine-making processes, going into detail according to your curiosity and your questions... Be curious, we will be happy to answer your questions!
2) The barrique cellar
The visit continues in the basement of the cellar, to the Old Cellar from the end of the 19th century, which now houses the barrel cellar. Here you will finally taste your first glass, starting with a Metodo Classico sparkling wine.
3) Pellegrino Cellar
Moving upwards, in an environment characterised by furnishings created by recovering and reusing the staves of old barrels, we will taste 3, 5 or more wines chosen together with you according to your preferences, accompanied by tasty snacks.
