Baglio Donna Franca was born from the desire to combine cultural heritage, identity, research and passion for wine.
The company, managed by Giacomo Ansaldi, was founded with the aim of rediscovering and enhancing the identity of a unique territory through a completely sustainable and organic production system in which no synthetic chemicals are used.
This enhances the natural resources of the land, in full respect of the characteristics of the soil, the environment and biodiversity.
Our wines come from native varieties such as Zibibbo, Grillo, Perricone and Nero d'Avola.
We take care of every detail: from cultivation to harvesting, from production to bottling, from packaging to hospitality.
The production chain is completely internal and controlled: from the bunch to the bottle.
The main intent is to enhance and promote our territory and its unique characteristics, through the love and passion for our traditions.
We welcome visitors to share the rediscovery of the traditions and culture of wine through guided tours, tastings and pairings with dishes of typical Sicilian cuisine.
The guest of our wine resort can take a journey back in time, between traditional values, history of viticulture and organic wines.
A strong sense of identity, combined with a great passion, have in fact allowed the creation of a charming cellar with oak barrels and modern and efficient machinery.
A "perfect" workshop, where wine lovers can participate in experiences of visit rich in meaning and content, to discover the organic wines produced by the company and, only for a select few, the Sicilian perpetual wine, a precious nectar unique in the world.
The guided tours also include the tasting of organic wines, with the possibility of combining tastings of typical Sicilian products. Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, we also organize tastings on our beautiful panoramic terrace, overlooking the Egadi Islands.
