From the vinification of Croatina grapes, a typical vine of the area whose strong character it expresses, comes Cisterna d'Asti, a wine with a deep-rooted and ancient tradition, which was awarded the D.O.C. in 2002: a wine with pronounced characteristics of intensity of taste and aroma, balanced by a prolonged aging in oak barrels.
Colour: Intense ruby red with garnet reflections.
Nose: spicy, slightly fruity, ethereal, ample with notes of cooked fruit, vanilla, wood and green pepper.
Taste: dry, warm, soft, fresh, tannic, sapid; elegant structure, full-bodied, persistent.

Piedmont Wine Tasting: Discover La Pergola Estate
If you are looking for a unique Piedmont wine tasting experience, you cannot miss La Pergola Estate. This historic winery, located in Cisterna d'Asti in the heart of the Roero, was founded in 1903 by grandfather Tony, who began growing the first vines for personal consumption.
In the 1980s, La Pergola Estate became a full-fledged wine producer. Since 2001, the winery has been carried on by Alessandra Bodda, representing the third generation. Production is mainly aimed at native Piedmontese grape varieties, from which the Tradizione and Prestigio wine lines are born.
In recent years, the children Emanuele, Martina and Moreno have also become an active part of the company, bringing new wines with the MINIFIOR line. The company's philosophy is to make consumers feel at home wherever they taste Tenuta la Pergola wine.
