La Querce, Toscana IGT, is a wine that embodies the authenticity and excellence of the Tuscan lands, produced with a scrupulous selection of the best clusters of Sangiovese and Colorino from the estate's vineyards. After a temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is aged for about eighteen months in wood barrels, followed by an additional nine months of bottle aging.
Of the 2018 vintage and with an alcohol content of 14 percent, it comes in the classic 750-ml format and has aging potential for up to 20 years. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 20°C to fully appreciate its complexity and depth.
On the nose, La Querce offers a bouquet expressing ripe fruit, spices and subtle hints of graphite, anticipating a full and smooth taste. The tannins are silky, giving the wine an elegant and well-balanced structure. The finish is long and persistent, characterized by a pleasant fruit note.
This wine pairs beautifully with meat dishes, ideal to accompany Tuscan specialties such as peposo alla fornacina, thanks to its ability to harmonize with intense and robust flavors.
