The Rossese di Dolceacqua Arcagna takes its name from its Geographical Indication and is produced from the Arcagna vineyard in the Dolceacqua area, a historic vineyard over 100 years old, planted in 1910, which gives this wine complexity and quality.
The color is a wonderful ruby red. Its aromas are composed of important underbrush, particularly raspberry and blueberry, with notes of morello cherry in spirit, rhubarb and violet, and on the finish hints of tobacco and the typical clove.
The flavor is fresh, savory and tannic.
Rossese di Dolceacqua Arcagna DOC is ideal for lovers of elegant and complex wines, representing the Ligurian winemaking tradition at its best. Imagine serving this wine during a special dinner with friends or family, where its intense aromatic notes will enrich the atmosphere and your dishes, turning every meal into an unforgettable experience.
The history of Cantina Gajaudo began in 1986 when Adriano Gajaudo, a passionate wine representative, decided to set up his own business with his young sons, Giulio and Fulvio.
In the early years, the company developed in the municipality of Dolceacqua.
The turning point came only in August 1999, when, shortly before the grape harvest, the company moved to Isolabona, precisely between Isolabona and Pigna, in a much larger facility.
With this investment, Cantina Gajaudo began to grow, increasing the land and bottle production from just 20 thousand bottles to 120 thousand bottles produced and more, depending on the vintage.
At Cantina Gajaudo, each grape variety was carefully chosen according to its soil and location.
