Manual grape harvesting, pressingwith feet in the courtyard, visit to the winery and merit with paired wines.
Program
.3:15 p.m. Arrival at the winery : to better manage the turnout, we ask for compliance with current health regulations and punctuality (do not arrive too early we do not provide bar service).
3:30 p.m. Introductory explanation on grape harvest: history and techniques. Distribution of 1 scissors and 1 basket for every 2 people. Gloves or other items are not provided. Recommended sportswear and sneakers.
3:45 pm
- Walk to the vineyard and distribution in the rows;
- Start of grape picking by hand into boxes;
- Transportation of the boxes by hand to the winery;
- Assignment of the baskets and crushing with bare feet (we recommend a small cloth);
- Tasting of the freshly pressed must.
5 p.m. Guided tour of the winery
5:30 p.m. Aperitif with wine tasting paired: local salami and cheese, risotto of the winemaker, cake with cooked must and dried fruit
7:15 pm End of the day.

The Calatroni family
In 1964 grandfather Luigi bought the land that two generations of the Calatroni family have been working as sharecroppers. We began our venture producing traditional wines from Croatina and Barbera grapes, but from 2002 on, under the guidance of brothers Cristian and Stefano, the youngest generation of the family, the focus has more and more shifted to Pinot Noir. We vinify the noble grape as a red wine and especially as white and rosé Metodo Classico sparkling wines. The current production of Metodo Classico has reached 100.000 bottles, all carrying the Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG.

Today, the Calatroni brothers grow about 25 hectares of organic vineyards with the invaluable help of their parents Fausto and Marisa, embracing sustainability as the core value of their philosophy of work. In recent years we opened our agriturismo and launched our hospitality program.
