The Ingauni Winegrowers Cooperative was founded in 1976 by 13 winegrowers; over the years, the number of members has progressively increased to the current 200 members, consequently increasing the quantity of grapes processed and wine produced.
In 1988, the DOC Riviera Ligure di Ponente was established, which includes the Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese, and Ormeasco wines, representing a significant step forward in enhancing the products of our land, of which the Ingauni Winegrowers Cooperative is the main producer.
Since 25/09/2003, Ormeasco has obtained the new designation with the DOC Ormeasco di Pornassio, marking a remarkable evolution in the growth and promotion of this wine.
In 1990, the new headquarters of the Cooperative was inaugurated, equipped with the most modern equipment that currently allows us to vinify over 4,000 quintals of grapes, including Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese, Ormeasco di Pornassio (DOC); Lumassina, Red and White (IGT Colline Savonesi); White, Red, and Rosé (Table Wines).
Over the years, there have been numerous recognitions for high quality, including the “Douja d’Or” awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of Asti, and the “Gran Medaglia d’Argento di Cangrande” awarded at VINITALY in Verona by the Italian Minister of Agriculture for the significant contribution to national enology.
